YZF250 Yes, thanks to the awesome guys and gals at GA Checkpoint
I am the proud owner of a new YZF250. I have had this bike since
December of 2005 and have enjoyed every minute aboard it.
The bike is sweet and feels very light and nimble. Is it better
than previous models of the YZF250 that I have had? Well that is
a hard question to answer however a new bike is always nice to ride
and when you work hard you deserve to treat yourself. ! I have spent
a lot of time over the last few months dialing in this awesome machine.
What can I say the better I get the more this thing allows me to
do. I love it!

I
love this bike! I started riding three years ago on a 99 Rm 125.
This on/off switch of a bike was great to learn on the track with,
however I hated it in the trails. 6 months later I bought a 2002
WR 250F. This bike doubled my pleasure as most of the riding I do
is tight trail riding. This past summer right before my first ever
motocross race, I traded up to a YZF 250. This bike is so awesome,
however I was glad that I had the time on my WR to learn before
having to deal with the faster pace of the YZF. The biggest thing
I notice from the two bikes is the 25 pounds of weight, which is
a big deal for a guy like me pushing 135 pounds. This bike is easy
to care for and maintain.
Slight shaving of the seat.
Added Skid Plate and Bark Busters
Scotts Stainless Steel Oil Filter
New Gearing 12-48
Devol Rad Guards
BBR Spark Arrestor
O-Ring Chain

My Girlfriend Kim rips it up on a 2003 KDX 200
Yes, it has finally happened. We have found a perfect bike for
Kim. Let me just say that her riding has elevated to a new level
because of her first bike a CRF 150. The 150 is so fun and easy
to master so she has enjoyed every step along the way to becoming
a full blown ripper. The only reason to move to a new bike is to
have bigger wheels, better suspension and what else…more power.
There is a real missing link in the dirt bike market for smaller
guys or woman who want a bike that is full size, but isn’t
a heavy monster. We feel that we have found that in the KDX200.
First, this bike weighs in at 223 pounds which is not much more
that her previous bike was - a CRF150. It has a 2 stroke engine
but runs more like a four stroke. After riding this bike only a
few times, I am so pumped on the easy roll on power which allows
you to dial in technical trails, and the turbo powerband which opens
up at half throttle. I could not believe when Kim hopped on this
and kicked it the first time and was off riding technical stuff.
The only initial difficulty was the height which we have solved
using Normon Kouba’s “Koubas Links”. These links
are made for the KDX and lower the bike 1.6 inches. We also shaved
the seat a little and this bike sits an inch higher than her 150
and about the same as a Yamaha TTR-230.

CRF 50 Handle Bars, these work awesome at moving the bars up for
when standing.
Jetted to 100 from 98
Removed Snorkel
Changed front cog to 12 teeth from 13
Removed the baffle from the muffler
